Our Hong Kong office advises multinational corporations, financial institutions, and private investment funds headquartered in China, the Asia-Pacific region, and across the globe on a wide range of corporate, capital markets, private equity, litigation, and employment matters.

For many years our well-established team in Hong Kong has served global corporate clients and private investment funds in multiple industries. Our team—which includes legal professionals qualified in Hong Kong, China, England & Wales, New York, California, Australia, and other jurisdictions—has demonstrated experience in matters where the laws of multiple jurisdictions intersect, and we leverage that knowledge to assist our clients in achieving their business objectives.

Because many of our clients are listed on major stock exchanges around the world, our lawyers in Hong Kong collaborate with colleagues in offices across Asia, North America, Europe, and the Middle East to serve them as they embark on cross-border investments, corporate transactions, and trade, and as they manage complex multijurisdictional compliance projects, investigations, and disputes.

Our Scope

In addition to capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, and private equity transactions, our Hong Kong team focuses on securities regulation, ongoing regulatory compliance, corporate and debt restructuring, and corporate and commercial matters. We also advise global clients on antitrust and labor and employment issues, and represent them in internal and government investigations, international arbitration, and in litigation before the high courts in Hong Kong.

Particularly noted for our work in the education, technology, and retail sectors, we have represented an exceptionally broad range of industries, including food and beverage, media and telecommunications, financial services, traditional manufacturing, automotive, healthcare, renewable energy, mining, and natural resources.

In Hong Kong, Morgan, Lewis & Bockius is a separate Hong Kong general partnership registered with The Law Society of Hong Kong.
